Planned Palliative Care

The Beacon of Hope Cancer Foundation is embarking on an ambitious plan to establish a dedicated palliative cancer care center in Coimbatore. This centre is envisioned as a sanctuary for patients in advanced stages of cancer, providing compassionate care that prioritizes quality of life. Recognizing the critical need for comprehensive palliative services, the foundation aims to create a facility where patients can receive holistic care that addresses not just physical symptoms, but also emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs.

Palliative Care Services for Terminal Illness

The palliative care centre will offer a range of services, including pain management, symptom control, psychological support, and counselling. It will be staffed by a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, counsellors, and therapists, all trained to provide specialized care for patients facing the challenges of terminal illness. The facility will also offer respite care, giving families and caregivers much-needed support and time to rest.

Home-Based Palliative Care:

In addition to inpatient services, the centre plans to provide home-based palliative care, ensuring that patients who prefer to stay in their own homes can still access the care they need. Through these services, the Beacon of Hope Cancer Foundation aims to ensure that every patient experiences dignity, comfort, and peace during their final stages of life.

A Community Resource for Dignified End-of-Life Care

The planned palliative cancer care center reflects the foundation’s deep commitment to addressing the full spectrum of needs that arise during the cancer journey, providing a vital resource for the community in Coimbatore.
